Not Seeing Results? Try These Three Things!
It happens to all of us. At some point, you reach a plateau. Whether your goals are fitness, aesthetic, or lifestyle-focused, eventually you’ll find your body isn’t responding the way it once did.
Don’t give up!
If you’ve already established a consistent workout routine, and you’re eating mostly lean protein and fruits and vegetables, but not getting any closer to your fitness goals, try these three things to jumpstart your progress:
1. Get more sleep
Skimping on sleep impacts your workouts and your nutrition. When you’re well-rested, you have more energy, a stronger immune system, a reduced appetite, and fewer cravings. Aim for at least eight hours of sleep a night -- that may be the ticket to reaching your goals!
2. Increase the intensity
When you come to the gym are you just going through the motions, or are you making an effort to push yourself, exploring your limits? It’s not reasonable to go full-out every day, but if you aren’t seeing any changes in your fitness, try increasing your intensity at least three times a week.
3. Reduce your alcohol intake
Even moderate alcohol consumption can impact your weight and fitness. Alcohol negatively impacts sleep, it can interfere with your ability to grow and maintain muscle, and it can be a cause of weight gain, especially belly fat. You don’t have to give up alcohol entirely, but try restricting your consumption to Friday and Saturday nights.
If you’re frustrated with your progress, try these three things for a month and let us know the results!
